The climbing was ok. The weather was bad, though. Rain in the morning, then finally it stopped and we could climb about 4 routes. Fabian from Holland was my climbing partner. I leaded two 5’s and top roped 2 6b’s. Not bad, but we had to stop climbing because of rain again though my climbing hunger wasn’t over yet…
The next thing we did is spend some time in the bar and that was that for the day.
Good thing about the day was to meet the Singapore climbers again. Matt, Patrick, Hilwan and Sonny were still there, this was their last day, and the rest had already returned home. They are such nice people. How they care for each other and how they are open to new people is amazing. Something to remember and cherish.
The next day I too had to experience how everybody in Tonsai gets ill. The first day Matt was ill, the day after Els, and today was my turn. I felt like all the energy was sucked out of my body. So I slept the largest part of the day. Only in the evening/night I got better, and felt energized enough to go view the fire show I wanted to see since the first day. And the show was nice. The later it got the better the fire players were… And in our beds Els and me had some nice talks about nothing and everything. Our last ones because in the morning she already had to go. I had a great time. I will miss her.
